Please join us for NATA's Inaugural Formation clinic in Jonesboro, AR (KJBR) from November 5-November 8, 2026.
All NATA members are invited but only Formation members are permitted to fly as PIC. Training is expected to be offered in T-6/SNJ/Harvard, P-51, and Navion. (Please contact organizers before registering to confirm sufficient aircraft are expected, or if you are interested in bring another type.)
Trainees must review our Formation Training Program before attending, paying particular attention to their specific aircraft requirements and the associated aircraft Type Supplement. First-time clinic participants may find this Check List useful.
Arrival day is Thursday November 5, 2026, and the clinic will begin with a ground school Thursday at 1600, if needed, for any participants pursuing a qualification (Wingman or Lead). Attendance is mandatory for participants who have not attended a formal, instructor-taught ground school.
There will be a mandatory safety briefing at 0800 on Friday.
Please review ALL of the registration steps below before proceeding:
REGISTER ONLINE. Click on the 'Register Now' button. If you want training, select “PIC with training.” If you are currently FAST formation-qualified and will be flying as PIC but not working on a Lead qual, select “PIC no training.” If you will not be PIC at any time (i.e., observer or IP only), select “Non-PIC (piloting NOT permitted).” Supply the requested information and pay the registration fee. Late registrants (inside one month) might not receive a T-shirt and/or name patch. (If you are not a Formation member, you will not see the PIC registration options. To upgrade your membership contact membership@flynata.org.)
TRAINING? To request Wingman or Lead training (or a re-qualification Check Ride) at the clinic you must register as "PIC with training." Please do not select this option if you are only participating for proficiency flying (FPR) or have a current Lead qual. A training ground school dinner is arranged for arrival day.
INSURANCE. If intending to fly as PIC, you must upload a Certificate of Insurance (COI). You may do so by visiting My Formation Documents on the Formation+ menu. Full info available at: Clinic Insurance Requirements. Please do this NOW!
HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT. Hold Harmless agreements are handled online (no need to sign and upload a form). To complete the registration process you will accept the terms of the Hold Harmless agreement and provide an “online” signature.
ALLOW TEXT MESSAGES. Clinic organizers may use text messages to relay information to participants during the clinic (e.g., weather-related updates). Please allow NATA to send you text messages by visiting the Contact Information tab in your profile, and checking the box under your mobile number in Other Contacts, towards the bottom of the screen. Other Information:
- TRAINEE PREPARATION. Pilots seeking training must comply with the aircraft readiness requirements in paragraph 5 of the Training Program. Please pay particular attention to the rear seat comms. We cannot conduct training in your aircraft if an IP cannot communicate with you and other aircraft in the flight. Also, note that an "Eval" flight is required for first-time clinic participants, and training materials must be reviewed prior to arrival.
- HOTELS. Embassy Suites of Jonesboro is holding a block of rooms until October 15 for $149/night + taxes. Click Here to Book Room or call 870-619-4482 and mention the "NATA" block or Wes Minear block when booking.
- DINNERS. Saturday Dinner at the hotel from the menu in a private room.
- OTHER MEALS. Lunch, snacks, water, coffee, and beverages are provided each day at the FBO/Ground School Hangar. Pizza is provided during Ground School on Thursday, and all are encouraged to attend. Friday night dinner will be on your own.
- RENTAL CARS. There are two Rental Car options: Enterprise, who will deliver cars. The FBO is very graciously allowing us to borrow some crew cars for overnight use.
- FBO, FUEL & OIL. Arkansas Air Center (870-935-1770) will fuel us from a truck. Set up an account on arrival with a credit card and settle up before departing. Fuel will be sold at cost. The FBO does not keep our oil in stock. Either pre-order your oil for delivery prior to arrival or bring what you need.
- HANGAR, RAMP, OTHER. The ramp is large enough to accommodate all, but please bring chocks. Hangar space is available on a first come first serve basis. Contact the Hospitality Officer for more information.

See event details for required documents. Only PIC registrants (Formation members) may pilot aircraft during the clinic. Non-PIC registrants (e.g., photographers, observers, instructors, Check Pilots) may not pilot aircraft at any time during the event. Either registrant type may bring non-member guests.
Cancellation Policy:
NATA does not issue refunds. If a cancellation is made within 30 days of the arrival day, the registration fee (minus the cost of any clinic merchandise included with the registration and any extra merchandise ordered plus shipping) will be credited to your account and applied to future NATA payments (e.g., membership dues or event fees). Cancellations made within a week of the clinic may or may not receive a credit for the dinner portion of the registration depending on the arrangements made with the restaurant. "No shows" are subject to forfeiture of all registration fees.
Late registrations made within four weeks of arrival day will probably not receive a name patch and may not receive a T-shirt.
