Dubuque Formation Clinic

Please join us for the pre-AirVenture NATA formation clinic in Dubuque, Iowa. New this year, B-25s will be joining us for formation training!

Wednesday will be arrival day, and the clinic will begin Thursday morning at 8am with briefing/ground school. For those going to Oshkosh, our big wing formation will depart Sunday. The clinic wrap-up banquet will be at Timmerman's Supper Club on Saturday evening (prepaid with your registration fee). 



Please complete the following steps:
  • REGISTER ONLINE. Begin by clicking on the Register Now button, supply the requested information and pay the registration fee. Fees increase on June 20th. If you don't see that button, you must log in before registering. If you wish to attend and are not a member or guest of a member, please contact us.

  • INSURANCE. Provide a Certificate of Insurance that meets NATA's Clinic Insurance Requirements.

  • HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT. E-mail to dbq@flynata.org a signed and witnessed hold harmless agreement for each participant that you register. Download the Hold Harmless Agreement.

  • HOTEL. Make your reservation at the Holiday Inn (downtown Dubuque, 450 Main Street) by calling 563-556-2000. Use the group code NATA (or "North American Trainer Association") to access our block and receive the group rate ($89/night, on space-available basis after June 20th).

  • FUEL, OIL & HANGARS. Call DBQ Jet Center at 563-589-4136 to register your aircraft and open a fuel account. Also specify type and quantity of oil you would like them to purchase for you. You should pre-order your oil (you must take all the oil you order, and pay when you settle your fuel account). To be added to the hangar priority list ($80/night), call Gordy at 563-589-4135.

  • RENTAL CARS. Hertz 563-583-0267, Avis 563-556-0657, Enterprise 563-583-8000.

  • OSHKOSH. If you plan to attend EAA AirVenture, here is the Basler pre-registration form.


NATA members must be formation members to participate. Members of other FAST signatory organizations may participate, provided all registration requirements are met; however, NATA membership is required to receive training or a check ride from a NATA check pilot.

See event details for required registration paperwork (e.g., Hold Harmless agreement, Certificate of Insurance naming NATA). NATA members must be formation members, in part to gain access to the training materials on the website. Members of other signatory organizations with a current FAST card may participate, provided all registration requirements are met. However, to receive training, including a check ride from a NATA check pilot, NATA formation membership is required. Non-members must contact admin officer to register (dbq@flynata.org).
Cancellation Policy:
We do not issue refunds if you cancel your registration. Instead, your registration fees will be credited to your account, and applied to future NATA payments (e.g., membership dues or event fees). If you cancel less than 30 days before the event, a $25 fee per registrant will apply.
