Hamilton Formation Clinic

Hamilton T-shirt design We are proud to be holding our first International Formation Clinic in Hamilton, Ontario!

Our friends at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum (CWHM) will be our hosts. In addition to formation proficiency and training flights, formation qualified pilots can participate in a photo-flight over the Niagara Falls, and a Big Wing formation flight on Saturday afternoon with a few rare aircraft at the museum (CWHM's Lancaster and B-25 in 2016 photograph below). Please join us, even if you are only interested in learning more about NATA and formation flying.

Please complete the following steps:
  • REGISTER ONLINE. Begin by clicking on the Register Now button, supply the requested information and pay the registration fee. Fees increase April 28th.

  • INSURANCE. Provide a Certificate of Insurance that meets our Clinic Insurance Requirements.  Also, please provide a Certificate of Insurance naming as Additional Insured "Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, 9280 Airport Rd, Mount Hope, ON L0R 1W0, Canada."

  • HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT. E-mail to cyhm@flynata.org a signed and witnessed hold harmless agreement for each participant that you register. Download the Hold Harmless Agreement.

  • HOTEL. Make your reservation at the Hamilton Crowne Plaza by calling +1.905.528.3451. Use the booking code CHM to receive the group rate through May 8th ($119/night CAD, approx. $90 USD). (Update May 9th: The hotel is going independent and being renamed Hamilton Plaza.  IDG points will be honored for reservations for next 60 days.)

  • INTERNATIONAL. Information for participants traveling to Canada is Available Here and at the Additional Info link below. Time Sensitive: Participants who bring US-registered experimental aircraft (T-28s and some Harvards) must submit an application to Transport Canada by April 28th. If there is interest, we will hold a conference call to answer questions.
Lancaster and B-25 NATA members must be formation members to participate. Members of other FAST signatory organizations may participate, provided all registration requirements are met; however, NATA membership is required to receive instruction, including a check ride from a NATA check pilot.

NATA members must be formation members, in part to gain access to the training materials on the website. Members of other signatory organizations with a current FAST card may participate, provided all registration requirements are met. However, to receive training, including a check ride from a NATA check pilot, NATA formation membership is required.
Cancellation Policy:
We do not issue refunds if you cancel your registration. Instead, your registration fees will be credited to your account, and applied to future NATA payments (e.g., membership dues or event fees). If you cancel less than 21 days before the event, a $25 fee per registrant will apply.
